First 5 Sunday 22nd

So I missed my first workout. After work I am going to do a strength workout. I am now using an online training program called "Hyperstrike". The nice thing with this program is I type in what peaces of equipment I have and it will build my whole workout routine. It also will plan all my meals for me "BINGO" I found the tool that will help me.

I set the "hyperstrike" program up to start on Monday and will workout Monday-Friday. I am going to try out YOGA this week hope it will help with my flexibility.

Keep you posted

Day 2

I completed my first workout last night, I felt great afterwards and had a little more swagger in my step. As I write this entry this morning I am reminded by looking at my extra large coffee for breakfast that my biggest challenge is going to be my nutrition side of things.

Back to my workout I did a simple 35 minute workout.

5 minute warm up on my elliptical

I took 30 seconds rest between each set

1st set 2nd set
Flat bench 35lbs x 12 45lbs x 10
Incline 45lbs x 12 50lbs x 10
Lat pull down 35lbs x 12 45lbs x 10
low row 35lbs x 12 45lbs x 10
arm curls 25lbs x 12 30lbs x 10 the last 2 were rough to get through
Tricep push downs 25lbs x 12 30lbs x 10

I am looking forward to my work tonight and will most likely start day 3 with a proper breakfast.

My name is Blair and I am 28 years old. I have been married for almost 2 years and my wife is 3 months pregnant. Over the winter my waist line has grown 2 inches I am now 235 and at 26% body fat. My lower back hurts and it is time for a change.

You are welcome to accompany me along my journey to become healthier, more active and live a longer, fuller life. I no longer want to have to drink 2-3 coffees a day to function. It is March 19, 2009 and my new healthier life starts today.
As it stands my current measurements are

Weight: 235lbs
Body Fat: 26%
Waist: 38 inches
Height: 5’11”

My goals are achievable 200lbs, 15% body fat, 34 inch waist. Throughout this journey I will be using equipment from a local fitness retailer and be visiting different fitness classes once a week to see what different avenues are available. I will also post a new healthy recipe once a week. For support I will rely heavily on my family, friends and coworkers.
I will post my workouts along with the success and hardships I encounter.

...And now my work out begins!
